Hampton Court Palace dates back to 1514 when building began by Cardinal Wolsey. He gave the Palace to Henry VIII and became Henry’s favourite residence. William III extended the Palace in the 1690s destroying some of the Tudor architecture. However, much remined giving the Palace two distinct styles – Tudor and Baroque.
